Pupps rash?

Does anyone know if you can develop the pupps rash after pregnancy? I have a really itchy rash that started on my hands then moved to my breasts now I have huge patches on my stomach that have taken over all my stretch marks and my stretch marks are bright pink now. Its also on my arms.. I'm almost 3 weeks pp and never had pupps during either of my pregnancies but when I google that it looks a lot like the rash I have on my stomach but it dosent say anywhere that it can develop after pregnancy?!?!

Yes it happened to me. I can’t remember exactly when but maybe 2-3 weeks pp. the only thing that got rid of it were super strong antihistamines prescribed by mr doctor (& also just time passing!) She said it was too big an area for a steroid cream. Took another 2-3 weeks to start disappearing. I still have the shadow of where the rash was but it’s so much less red, raised and itchy. So I did some research on this recently because of a rash on my abdomen that I developed postpartum, and it appears it is possible to get pupps after pregnancy but isn’t super common.
With my own rash, it looked a lot like pupps but my doctor thought it might just be a delayed reaction to either the spinal block (I had a c-section but the rash didn’t develop until after I was discharged) or from the Percocet I was taking. It was super super itchy and lasted about a week and a half, but I was also using my dad’s prescription corticosteroid cream to treat it since nothing else helped. The doctor just told me to take Benadryl and wait for a week. 😑 So I don’t know if it was actually pupps or if it really was a reaction to something.

You totally can, I did 🙄. Doctor confirmed it and told me to just put otc Benadryl cream/ antihistamine cream.

I believe it actually can! I’m not sure though as I’ve never gone through it nor do I know any one who has. But I believe I’ve seen a post about it on here some where before? Don’t take my word for it though! I would go get checked though just to make sure. There’s a lot of things that I never thought could happen after birth but I’ve seen so many people on this app develop things even 2-3 weeks pp that I thought you could only get while you’re pregnant! I had a c section & was very itchy & even developed a rash but they told me it was because of my epidural for my c section. It eventually went away after 2-3 days but like I said, I’d go get checked to make sure. Good luck! 🙂
