Breast feeding?!

Okay so who plans on breast feeding ? Ive been told it's great for the baby, and obviously much cheaper but I'm not sure if I want to for too long. How long are you even suppose to breast feed for? Also I am lactose intolerant so what's the chance my baby will be too??

I'm so excited to breast feed! It's a great bonding thing for you and your baby.. It's gonna be painful I've heard, invest in breast balm but can't wait :) all worth it

I plan on breast feeding for at least a year and a half. Longer if I can. It helps baby and lot of help for mama's to.

As long as I don't have any major problems with baby not being able to latch and get enough breast milk (due to me having inverted nipples), I plan on breast feeding for at least a year, if not longer.

I was reading that the benefits of breast milk drop after 6 months since that's when your baby starts making their own antibodies and does not require yours. So I plan on 6 months min. and I'll go from there. I figure when that time hits I'll have a better idea of what's going on.

Any amount of time breast feeding is better than no time breast feeding! I plan on doing it for 6 months, but I am going to take it one week at a time because it can be very hard and frustrating. Definitely keep your nipples lubricated though because they will crack easily & I've heard it is very painful.

I'm a bit weary of it to be honest I'm going to give it a go I decided I'd buy a breast pump and try breasts feeding if that does to work I'll try expressing! I don't think I'll do it for long but going to try anyway as long as baby healthy and feeding properly I'll be happy with whatever ethos works best for baby!good luck Hun xxxx
