I Need A Nice Way To Break Up

With my boyfriend. We been together since December.

Today’s my birthday and last minute he had to work, his boss lost his request off paperwork. It’s 9:30 and he hasn’t even texted me happy birthday.

I’m really stressed with my children ( who are not his) and I feel like he adds to my stress! I feel like I need someone who cares more about me.

I tried texting him this morning to break up but he’s not taking it well! How do I break up with him? In person? I’ve only been in one relationship (with my kids dad) and he was abusive.

What are some nice and respectful ways to end a relationship?
