Weird Smell

So when I take my Tampon out, I get a weird smell that’s attached to the Tampon. Is that Normal? I never keep it in longer than 6 hrs(I use regular) and lately my tampon has been kinda dry when I take it out (which is close to the 6th hr) do yall think that dryness has anything to do with the smell?
