I already took my LO to her pediatrician since she has a really bad cold. This just started coming out of her eye. What is it? Should I be concerned

That’s conjunctivitis. Wet a wash cloth with warm salty water and hold it on her eye for a few seconds and wipe downwards. Do it every time you notice the gunk. It should be cleared within a few days.

Were more of a Mex tradition. My bany had it when he was 3weeks im breastfeeding and bottle feeding soo at first i started putting breastmilk but it wasnt working. Then i started boiling water with chamomile. I put the watter in a cup to cool down then i got a cotton ball and mildly soaked it in the chamomile and wiped his eyes with it. Also massaged his under eyes with my finger to help open the tear ducts. It went away in a week.

I was adviced to use cooled down boiled water and to wipe (i use make up pads) towards the tear ducts. My son had for the first 2 months together with a cold coming and going.

My LO has a really bad cold and her eyes get gunky and gooey like that too. There was a case of pink eye at daycare so we took her to the pediatrician to get checked out. They said right now it’s nothing, just drainage. Take warm moist cloth or cotton balls to wipe they eye gently. If you’re worried maybe email your doc office that picture and see if they want to take a closer look?
