My wife and I are TTC with me as the carrier. I’ve never attempted pregnancy before but have no known fertility issues. We recently purchased a couple vials of donor sperm from a cryobank which we are planning to use this cycle. It was so expensive as most of you know. After I purchased, I heard about Known Donor Registry and it’s an amazing resource for information and I can’t believe there are actually donors willing to help for free. Of course I know there are 738363638 risks but there’s also the ability to customize your conception experience down to how much or little you know about the donor, insemination preferences, and future contact between your donor and the offspring.

I just need to hear about real life recipient experiences. Who has used them? Has anyone tried having a donor ship? If you did do AI with them, was it awkward meeting them in person? What’s the best techniques in finding the right donor? Any red flags to look for? We are hoping this cycle takes but with it being the first, you know there’s a low chance it might. Do to expenses, we will probably be looking to go through KDR for future attempts.
