Spelling of name?

Husbands name is Alan and I thought spelling it Madalan would be cool but may be pronounced funny - lan vs lyn. So thinking maybe Madalyn could work. Keeps his name in her name even though it’s not spelled that way but it’s pronounced the same.

I personally prefer the traditional spellings: Madeline and Madeleine. If you’re wanting non-traditional, then I think Madelyn might be the best out of those options.

Cool idea but I prefer the Madelyn spelling. I’ve noticed that kids I work with who have unusual names or unusual spellings get frustrated having to spell their names for other kids all the time. Or having to explain their name.
