Willow or Elvie breast pump?

Question

Looking into purchasing either the Willow or Elvie breast pump... both very expensive but hoping it will be super helpful for pumping at work and at home with a toddler.  Anyone have any experience with either of these pumps???

I just got the Elvie this week and it has been a literal life saver. I ended up with an infection post c section and have been pumping a lot (with some dumping unfortunately due to meds).
The convenience is great. I can pump and sit in bed, walk around, eat, do light chores and even take care of baby while pumping. 
With the elvie you pump into reusable bottles and then transfer when you are done. 
The pump can run with the app or hand controls but so far the app isn't the greatest at telling volume so I just pump for a set amount of time.
So far pump has been working well with minimal nipple soreness but I do turn the intensity down sometimes.
Seriously this pump has been worth its weight in gold this week and I can only imagine that value will increase when I go back to work which was the original reason I bought it.
Very happy with the purchase so far.

I have the willow, wish I would have gotten the elvie. Elvie pumps into a tank, and Willow you have to use their bags. I personally don’t pump enough from one side for the bags to be worth it. I’m waiting to start using my willow regularly when I go back to work to get more out of my pumps.

I have a Medela and got a Willow a few weeks ago as the idea of being hands free to care for my son, take care of the house, make dinner, etc. was too good to pass up. I will be completely honest below with the pros and cons of my experience with the Willow. 
Pros: hands free! You can just put it right in your bra. I loveeee the app that tells you exactly how long you’ve been pumping for, and the approx. volume on each side, as well as going into the history to see how many times and total volume pumped each day. It’s easy to clean as there’s only 2 parts. 
Cons (that I wish someone would have posted about before I bought it): The bags are obviously very experience and their proprietary so you have to use them. The bags do not fit easily into the pump as they need to be large enough to collect milk so you end up squishing them in and hoping the assembly is correct and you don’t get an error message when you go to put it on, which can be annoying. I don’t feel like you get all of the milk out of the bags when you go to empty them like you would a bottle. This pump is not for people with sensitive nipples as the latch and expression is pretty strong as it needs to stay on while upright in your bra. I never had pain with my Medela, but the Willow is uncomfortable even on the lowest setting and I can’t bare to pump more then 20-25 minutes at a time, it leaves my nipples sore all day (would be ideal for 1-2 pumps a day, but doesn’t seem worth the price then in my mind). I also feel like I get significantly less then when I pump with my Medela. Usually in the morning I would get about 7-8 oz., but with the Willow I only get about 4.5-6 oz. at most and that’s beating through the pain to pump for 35+ minutes. Lastly, I feel like my breasts and nipples have been so much more sensitive and randomly sore/shooting pains after using the Willow (even if I don’t use it for a day) and I never had this with my Medela. I did ensure I have the correct flange size, the latch is correct and I use coconut oil on my nipples after I pump or nurse. 
All in all, it’s very convenient, but definitely not for everyone. The uncomfortable soreness, feeling like I don’t pump as much (as the bags can fill with some air), and not being able to get all of the milk out of the bags, I would not recommend purchasing this product, at least not for the expensive price tag! Just my 2 cents and everyone is different ☺️
