I invited 23 "friends" to a fire for my birthday. I was going to grill hotdogs and hamburgers and supply pop, water, and iced tea. My invitation said to bring a chair and something to share. 1 person out of 23 said they would TRY to come. What is wrong with me? I understand people are busy, but everyone? I cancelled it knowing the people I THOUGHT we my friends really aren't. 20 didn't even respond. Btw I'm turning 45 so my friends are not super young where everyone wants to drink.
