Which is best for post-partum bleeding?

I'm trying to pack my hospital bag and am unsure of which would be best. I found something on pinterest about how to make "padsicles" with aloe and witch hazel, but have also have friends in the past warn me to buy ugly granny panties I don't mind ruining because pads WILL leak. That's why I was considering the depends. Any other recommendations?

Pads are harsh enough on my girl bits that I can’t imagine them wrapping all the way around me.  So I’ll use pads.  I did buy some of these though rather than making padcicles because they’re cool AND absorbent.  The which hazel and other soothing things will go in my peri wash.

I used these for the first 2 weeks and then switched to regular pads with underwear.

An awesome recioe..Take a maxi pad..add alone gel on it n then some essential oil( I believe lavender is good .Fold n freeze in a foil plus baggie ( if memory serves) .Those first couple of postpartum days that cold feeling is noce plus it helps to get your Ladie parts back to  normal

After the first few days when I used the huge hospital pads, I didn’t really need more than regular pads. Maybe have a pack of each and see how it goes?

Pads during the day and change them frequently. 
Depends at night to avoid leaks. 
I also used depends during the day the times I used an ice pack if it was the kind that used real ice that would melt instead of those cold packs.

I must’ve been fortunate cause my pp bleeding wasn’t nearly as bad I I thought. I was stocked up on all sorts of stuff and didn’t use it lol I had no leaks or anything thankfully. I was able to use just normal overnight pads which imo were more comfortable than depends I’m assuming! They give you stuff at the hospital for heavy bleeding which I only really needed the day or two after delivery so once I got home those items were of no use to me
