Is it truth that the closer to your ovulation day you have sex, the more likely it is to have a boy?!

Question

So hubby and are were only able to have sex once before he went away on a business trip and it appears to be now, the day before ovulation. I was told that’s boy territory? I’ve never heard of this as I always thought it was 50/50 chance. 
Also note that even thought app says I ovulated (used OPK) I still feel that achy pain in my ovaries and my boobs are still sore. So could I really not have ovulated yet perhaps?! This is so confusing!! 🤷🏼‍♀️

They say it’s more likely to be a boy because the boy swimmers are faster, but, they die quicker girl swimmers survive longer supposedly. As long it’s a healthy baby in my opinion 🙏🏻

Well we had sex the day before ovulation and we’re having a boy, with my daughter it was the day of ovulation we had sex! I don’t think any of them old tales are true though to be honest!

I conceived my girl on ovulation day. So I’d say no. It’s up to the sperm I believe.
