BP / preeclampsia. When to go in?

Brandi

Has anyone with gestational hypertension or preeclampsia been told what blood pressure means I need to go to hospital asap? At my appointment last Wednesday my blood pressure was in the mid 150's and my doc drew labs to distinguish between hypertension or preeclampsia. All labs came back normal so he said to just take BP meds he prescribed. But to go in if I ended up with preeclampsia symptoms. My problem is that 99% of the preeclampsia symptoms I have because of just general pregnancy symptoms and preexisting conditions. I have chronic migraines without auras that almost always have sensitivity to light, sound, and make me nauseous. So monitoring my BP is the best thing I know to try and monitor. But I forgot to ask for a number that ment to go in or not. I have been checking my BP periodically after being told to take BP meds. It has ranged from normal to 150's again. But went to bed with a headache but not elevated BP last night. Pain woke me up and I checked BP and it was 174/92. Sensitivity to light, sound and nausea in full effect. I know this is crazy high. Especially as prepregnacy my blood pressure was in normal range or only slightly elevated. 100 to 130max. Took pain meds and it has dropped down to 140's so not as bad now but how am I supposed to know when it's to high? Especially when these are all high for me. With normal labs doc was ok with just doing BP meds. So does that mean I am just freaking myself out over nothing? I know stressing is probably making go higher. I am just frustrated and don't want to hurt my baby girl or myself. Doc was talking about inducing if labs were abnormal or in 38th week. This coming week. But he wanted to give the extra time if possible. So I am really trying to make it to next Wednesday. This is my next appointment. Just don't know what to do.

Sorry this is so long. Venting mixed with a couple questions. Thanks for any help.
