I rarely come onto the forums as I feel it’s a privacy intrusion, but I need some feedback. I’ll be giving this to my wife soon, it’s a platinum band with ~ 0.5 ct rubies and ~ 0.25 ct VS2 diamonds. What do you think?

Thanks for the feedback. I am the lucky one, not my wife. She’s my best friend and the sweetest person I know.

It certainly isn’t about the price, an individual accused me of buying fake diamonds, which is why I uploaded the appraisal. My wife is far from materialistic, which makes giving her gifts like this such a joy because they’re always so unexpected. The diamonds and rubies are also the birthstones of our children, so there’s meaning behind my choice.

UPDATE:

I gave it to her this past week close to our anniversary. She cried when I gave it to her. To put it in perspective, our son’s birthstone is ruby as his birth would’ve been in July. He passed in utero at week 17 due to Trisomy 13. He was our first. We lost him, but he was still our son. Our daughter was born April 30th of this year. Her birthday is actually my birthday. We’re very thankful for her, she’s very healthy and thriving! Anyway, I wanted to give her something that she could wear on her hand every day that would remind her of her two kids. She’s a wonderful mother and I’m very thankful I married her, even though sometimes I do not deserve her. Thank you all for your feedback.
