When did/will you install your car seat?

I’m pretty sure we grabbed it on the way to the hospital because they’re not hard to install.

38/39 weeks we were gonna do it sooner but my SO kept procrastinating and wanted to get the car cleaned first 🤷🏼‍♀️

When we went to the hospital. Only takes a second

We installed the base sometime after 34 weeks (can’t remember exactly) but just kept the car seat in the house until I was in labor and we left for the hospital.

My husband went home and got it and put the base in as we were coming down. If something happens and you get into a wreck before hand that seat is garbage

My husband installed it before he came to pick us up for discharge from the hospital. It’s not a good idea to install it before labor (at least) because if something happens god forbid a car accident, you have to replace the whole seat even if it wasn’t used before.

I'm having a c-section so I could so it the day of, but I'm gonna move three other kids seats and want to get those changes done so they have time to get used to it.

Bought mine on Sunday, 29 weeks.

I’m 34 weeks and we haven’t bought ours yet - we are registered for it so we’re waiting until after my baby shower at 36 weeks. If nobody gets it off our registry we will just go get it ourselves and practice with it then I think :)

We’ll wait till last min, if an accident were to happen we’d have to replace the car seat.
