Iui after brake.

My husband and I had done 6 iuis and then decided to take a break because the last iui we had I was driving to my dr about 2hrs way almost every other day for 2weeks. We also found out that my husband had a thyroid issue that was really bad and we just finally got it under control almost 6months later. I'm hopping that is what the problem was. The fist time we went through iui in 2016 it worked the 2nd month. Has anyone else had an issue getting pregnant with their spouse having a thyroid problem?
