sex on NuvaRing

Hi everyone,

I have a question about NuvaRing (which I have been on for 6 months now and love it so far!) my issue is that when I have sex with my boyfriend he says that he can feel it and while it doesn't hurt him or me it does make sex uncomfortable. I was wondering if anyone knows if I could take the ring out while we have sex and put it back in after, would I still be protected? (we also do use condoms like 80% of the time too)
