Edd/lmp

I'm so tempted to give the date I ovulated to the midwives rather than my last period date and say that is my lmp....That estimated 2 week difference really affects you psychologically toward the end. Not to mention being induced when the probability is your baby simply hasn't reached full gestation , let alone go over...And..If their way is correct the dating (1st for us in the UK) scan at around 12 weeks should readjust the pregnancy back to match the lmp, right?
