At what age should children know better?
This popped up on my timeline while I was at a friend’s house and it sparked a pretty heated debate between us. I personally feel like their charges and punishments should’ve been a bit harsher because at 12-13 years old you should know better than to do something like this especially knowing that she had a deadly allergy; I personally feel it’s walking the line of premeditated murder. While my friend thinks they shouldn’t have even got probation because they’re just children and they don’t fully understand how their actions will play out.
So ladies at what age does a child actually “know better”?
Bonus questions: Do you think age should be a factor depending on the actual action/crime?
If these were your children how would you want them to be punished and would your opinion change if these weren’t your children but you were related to the teacher?
