Why is being a parent so damn scary?!

👽

Ok, I overreact a lot. Like my kids will get a bruise and, unlike a normal person who thinks "oh he just bumped his knee, I think "omg he has leukaemia"...I have hypochondria and a panic disorder so that is why lol anyway, my 6 month old was taking a bath and bent over to get his duckie and dipped his face into the water slightly and inhaled the tiniest amount through his nose, coughed once, and is fine. Any normal person would just not even think about it. But me? Lol oh I'm googling shit and convincing myself hes going to dry drown, or secondary drown. So I will watch him like a hawk all day and overreact to every noise or cough. Also I work, so I will make my husband watch him like a hawk the while time I'm at work, and hes a normal person so hes going to be annoyed lol, and then I'll keep myself up all night watching him. What's it like to not freak out for no reason? Lol it must be nice. Anyway if anyone has any "my baby inhaled water through their nose and didnt die" stories, I'd appreciate it. And yes...I know I'm overracting, which I stated already. So dont be rude and just tell me to calm down lol if that were possible, I wouldn't be me 🤣
