Surgery or Methotrexate?

I just found out this morning that I have an ectopic pregnancy in my left tube. I have the option for laparoscopic surgery or methotrexate injection. I will be 31 in less than 2 months, had a chemical pregnancy last year and took almost a year to get pregnant this time around. Any experience with either method? positive or negative?

I actually just had a. Ectopic pregnancy yesterday and had my left tube and the baby removed. My doctor said he usually does the injection but because my baby had a strong heartbeat and good blood supply he didn't want to risk the injection not work and my tube to rupture on me. I am still processing and trying to take it one day at a time

First of all, i am so sorry you are going through this. Its an awful thing to go through and so heartbreaking. I am so sorry 😢I had an ectopic pregnancy in my right tube in october, but i wasnt given the option of mtx or surgery, as my levels of HCG were so high (thats what doctors told me). So i had the pregnancy & right tube removed, doctor told me the left tube is looking good & healthy. My recovery post surgery was brilliant, i had no pain after, i was just bloated for a while and blood pressure was super low, so i took it easy for about 2 weeks. I am now on my 3rd cycle TTC. The good thing about the surgery is that i know that the bad tube is removed and have the good one remaining.. thats the way the doctor put it anyways. If you have any more questions, feel free to message me anytime. I will answer all your questions and will support you as much as i can.I recently met up with a girl who had an ectopic pregnancy in her left tube, followed by tube removed and she managed to conceive again 3 months post surgery. She had her second baby 2 weeks ago so thinking of her gives me hope. Hope all goes well with your surgery or mtx and you have a fast recovery. Make sure you grieve, and talk about your experience if you need to. Here to help you. All the best to you!
