I’m getting so so frustrated. Before pregnancy, I did 9 hours of cardio and 5 hours of lifting and calisthenics each week. One of the things that brought SO and I together was our love for fitness. Early in pregnancy, I got put on restriction due to an irritable uterus. I still have 20-30 Braxton Hicks a day so have never been able to go back on a real workout plan. So I’ve been doing prenatal yoga and tons of walking.

I’m 30 weeks pregnant now, and it’s like no one will let me lift a freaking finger!!! I’m so over this! My car broke down and has been in for repairs. SO has been taking me to work but he’s working when it’s time for me to come home so I’ve had to ask people for rides. It’s only 3 1/2 miles away and I don’t like asking people at work for rides so I started walking home.

My mom and SO both have freaked out on me about it and now my mom waits outside my office to pick me up so I won’t walk again. (I’m a 34 year old woman and have my mom waiting outside work for me 😫). It really is NOT FAR. Saturday, I walked to the pharmacy while SO was at the gym, 1 mile away, and got yelled at even for that. Even a casual walk is becoming an issue.

So I snapped and got super bitchy about everyone trying to control my every movement now. I’ve always been active and expecting me to do absolutely nothing is unreasonable when my midwife doesn’t have an issue with, and encourages, some activity despite my restrictions (which are no heavy cardio or lifting more than 50 lbs).

So now I’m ungrateful 😫 I CANNOT spend my days laying around doing nothing. I refuse to be so out of shape come labor that I can’t stand on my own damn legs.

Vent over, I just miss my previously active life and am tired of people telling me I can’t do things I’m definitely approved to do.
