Pregnancy Medicaid??

Question

I don’t have any other insurance, just Medicaid for my current pregnancy. I have a slightly swollen finger and I think my nail is infected or something. Could this possibly cover it? Or is it only for pregnancy related things and I’ll have to pay out of pocket?? Any advice on what I should do would be great. 
(I also don’t know what group to place this in)

Just ask your O.B. at your next prenatal appointment. It could become a hazard to your pregnancy if it’s infected. When pregnant your O.B. becomes your primary physician so they see you for all your issues pregnancy related or not. She will bill your insurance. It will be all mixed in with the other billing codes.

I have pregnancy Medicaid and went to urgent care for a cold and it was covered 🤷‍♀️

If it is pregnancy Medicaid it only pays for medical related issues it will not pay for anything else. You can always go to the health department or see if there is a free or reduce clinic in your area.

Depends where you live, California if you have pregnancy Medicaid then it’s ONLY FOR PREGNANCY.  I work with insurances, but you can definitely get seen and go down to the Medicaid office and seen about getting full blown insurance which will cover your visit
