So I had the coil fitted to try and help with my heavy periods and severe PMS symptoms since having my two children back to back pregnancies. I only have periods for 3-4 days long but they are extremely heavy not even a tampon and a pad combined is enough and also for two solid weeks prior to the period I have awful PMS to the point where I feel so different it feels like I'm pregnant even though I'm not. So I only ever feel normal for a week and a half of each month. I had the coil fitted 2 and a half weeks ago the mirena coil NOT the copper coil. So mine is the slow dose of progesterone continuosly being released now this is where it gets complicated because I've always reacted badly to contraception so I can't take the mini pill (where you have a break for period) due to getting headaches and cramps in my legs so I took the other one where you never have periods for like 4-5 years and eventually it caused me great depression! So I came off it and felt amazing!! So I've never used contraception since as it messes with me too much until now trying the coil as I was told it's a locally released hormone and smaller dose so it doesn't run through your blood stream like a pill does. HOWEVER since having it done two plus weeks ago I have had headaches almost as bad as a migraine!! I've had nausea and off my appetite I still get hungry sometimes and eat dinners but I'm so picky and just not really eating in the day I also have been having cramps which I told would last first few days after inserting it. And lastly I've bled every single day since!! So coming up to three weeks Friday it will be of bleeding! And it's got heavier now since the weekend it's like a heavy period I am just so uncomfortable is all this normal? Also TMI but the blood stinks and I'm sweating all the time even after a shower I just don't feel good atall but the nurse said to stick with it up til 3 months as that's when it sorts itself out. I've asked my friend who had the coil also and she hasn't had all of this! Is this normal? Any advice would be appreciated as I'm just struggling to stick with this. I have a six month old and a 19 month old and I'm going back to work in a couple months I need to feel good! Also pic below of my current bleeding situation is this normal bleeding wise after the coil it's been happening every day since. X
