Strange question, but hoping someone has experience with this.

I have a 17 year old Cockatoo. She is the light of my life and I don’t think I could’ve gotten to a happy point in my life without her. She is very attached, and does not like anybody but me. She screams when I’m cuddling with my husband, or if he hugs me and she can’t see me because he’s blocking her view.

I want a baby so badly, and just discontinued my birth control a month ago to start trying. I’m scared that she’ll be jealous and cause issues.

My question is, did any of you have a similar situation? How did it go?

If it didn’t go well at first, how did you navigate the situation? Any tips?
