Obey your husband?

Would you obey your hubby to have an easier life? Like he says happy husband happy life you make me happy and you will be happy meaning I will make you happy I said to him am sure it's happy wife happy life otherwise I will be miserable is this a dominant thing? I mean before I got with him I was only 19 and naive so I listened to him now am 25 and I'm starting to speak up and want to do things my way and he doesn't like it and can get mean.. his very childish that's one thing I noticed as well as I've gotten older his 30

Um, my life wouldn't be easier if I obeyed like a dog. 
If he wanted someone to obey him, he should of gotten a dog, not a wife. You're a human, you have a voice and decision making skills, you don't need to be treated like an animal to please him. That's ridiculous

It’s not true with “happy wife happy life”, why would it be any different if only the husband is happy? A good marriage is about making sure both people’s needs are met

After all, if you don’t make each other happy, why get married?

Hahaha 🤣 if my husband tried to order me around, the “WTF” look he’d get!!!
Even when we’re in bed he won’t order me to do anything. I mean, not just because I have the more dominant personality (I’m not controlling, I don’t order him around but I do have a “treat me how you want me to treat you” vibe). We are partners. Equals, not master and slave! 
For example, from the original post I’d imagine my husband telling me to clean the bathroom, living room and bedroom, Hoover and do the dishes, clothes washing and take out the rubbish and then go shopping for extra toiletries and food as my dad is staying over tonight on his way home from a last minute business trip abroad.
In reality - “(husbands pet name), I’ve got a to-do list for dad coming tomorrow... I don’t mind doing the bathroom, bedroom and living room, could you help me by doing the dishes, taking the rubbish out & the clothes and and then we can go to the shops after I’ve hoovered the stairs? That way you can choose what snacks you want and we can get back in time not to rush and ... ... ...”

If I were you, my first stop would be couples counseling. If he doesn’t want to do that or half-asses it, then my next stop is the divorce lawyer. 
Life is long. No way I’m living like that.

People grow and change as they get older.  Marriages constantly evolve.  Maybe counseling would help you work through this season.  But a marriage is a partnership.  And even if you’re going with the Biblical obey, it doesn’t mean an obedience that makes you and your feelings/desires/opinions lesser.
