Any suggestions? PLEASE HELP

So my SO and i haven't been together for too long. We just started having sex and it feels so awkward. Maybe it's because i don't know what he likes and he doesn't know what i like yet. While it's happening what do you suggest i do other than kiss him? If we stop kissing i feel awkward just laying there. And the other thing is that i can't seem to concentrate on what's going on. My mind wanders and i start thinking about other things that are going on, I'm almost done with college so i have a lot on my mind so it's been difficult for me to just get that out of my head. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
