Have you ever heard that you can’t get your feet massaged during late pregnancy?

My friend had her baby prematurely and blames herself because she was always told to not get her feet and legs massaged during pregnancy and she did anyways. she believes this is why she went into premature labor. 
I’ve never heard of that, and it doesn’t make sense to me.

Im pretty sure it’s proven true that certain pressure points on or around the feet/ankles can induce labor early

I've heard in some cultures they believe a massage of the muscles and tendons near the Achilles will bring on labor. But I had a few pedicures towards the end of my pregnancy with massage and my baby didn't come til his due date!

My husband massages my feet everyday. I gave birth full term at 38.5 weeks.

My boyfriend gave me foot massages all the time when i was pregnant. I made it to 38 weeks with twins 🤷‍♀️

My midwife was not at all concerned about a massage during a pedicure. The pressure points are super specific and don't actually work on everyone anyway. At 38 weeks I was told to go ahead and try and not to expect much to happen unless my body was ready anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️

Its a specific point on near the achilles I’ve heard that can be an issue.  My sister’s water broke whole getting a pedicure actually.
