Eye color?

This is my precious girl. Her eyes are soooo light/blue 
 and have only lightened since birth. I have brown, my husband has olive green/Hazel, but our grandparents have blue. Do you think they will stay? She is 7.5 months old.

They are beautiful!! I think it’s interesting they have lightened since birth. Super neat that they took on other genes in the family (like you mentioned, grandparents). I know we tend to think our babies will look similar to the immediate parents, but we so often forget there are so many other generational genes at play! I think I read somewhere that eye color “stays” around a year? My vote is that they stay though since you mentioned always blue but only lightening. She’s beautiful!!!

I think they may stay or get just a little bit darker but still blue. My daughter had dark grey/brown eyes when she was born, she’s 7 months old now and this is her eyes

Hard to say. My oldest two started out with blue eyes but they turned green around 5 years. My 3rd still has very blue eyes at 5 years old. 4th also currently has blue eyes. My older two had darker blue. My 3rd had lighter blue so my guess is hers will stay blue.

Both my parents, brothers, sister and grandparents on both sides have all got brown eyes. The only person who had blue eyes was my dad's mum, she died 9 days before I was born and the funeral was the day before. Someone said to my dad at the funeral, one out, one in (little insensitive) but I was born the next evening and I apparently look just like her
