Should I get a new OB?

Question

So in May I found out I was pregnant and shortly after I had a miscarriage. My OB did not even call to tell me she told me in a text, she also never had me come in to get checked out. Luckily I’ve had two cycles since so I am ready to try again but honestly very uneasy about using her anymore would you get a new OB?

I just wanted to add that my OB hugs me every time she sees me . She hugs me hello and goodbye and she asks me how I’m doing in life . Find yourself a sweet caring woman

I'm fairly sure that texting results is a violation of HIPAA. Unless of course you signed something saying you understood the risks to your protected health information (PHI) and you are OK with being texted test results and such. 
Either way it's a really shitty way to find out about a miscarriage. I would want a new doctor. The OB I had for my first miscarriage had me come into the office for an ultrasound to confirm I didn't have any retained tissue. And after the ultrasound she sat me down in the room and told me that I had a complete nautral miscarriage and she was so sorry for my loss. She shared how she had a miscarriage before having her rainbow baby and assured me that my next pregnancy would probably be a take home baby. She let me cry and ask questions and whatever I need and she took the time to sit with me and answer all the questions I had. That's the kind of doctor I want for pregnancy. Pregnancy is stressful and God forbid something goes wrong again next time. You deserve better than what you got from your last OB. Find someone else.

I would. I’ve miscarried 3 times. Each time I went back in after I thought I was done to get an ultrasound to make sure everything passed correctly. Then I met with her and we talked about it. You should feel like your OB is on top of things and you should feel cared for.
