My birth story 💕
I was due July 8th and that day came and went. I went to my doctors office on the 9th for a membrane sweep and cervical check, I was at a 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. Did the membrane sweep and immediately started feeling some cramping. Went home and cleaned the house and made sure my bags were packed and next to the door. My husband got home around 5 and I was still having some light contractions nothing to bad but they were picking up. My husband and I decided to head to the hospital around 7 but I stopped at a friends house to have her braid my hair first 😂. Got to the hospital around 8, they checked me and said I was 3 1/2 cm dilated and 80% effaced, some progress but not enough for them to admit me. They sent me home about 4 hours later to labor at home. I tried to sleep when I got home but the contractions were keeping me awake so I went to the gym to bounced on the ball. At around 4am on the 10th I decided to go back to the hospital so I drove myself. I was 4cm dilated when they checked. My doctor decided to keep me since I was over due and making some progress. I was admitted and started the pitocin drip to get things moving because I had stalled. The contractions were not bad at all and I was able to move around and talk through them. At 6cm the doctor broke my water and that’s when things got real. I was SCREAMING. For the epidural. Dr came and gave it, what sweet relief. A few hours later I was ready to push. Nurses warned me because it was my first that I might be pushing for an hour or more, 20 minutes later at 4:20 my little angel was born. 8lbs 3oz, she is more then perfect and the most wonderful baby. I did have a 3rd degree tear, which wasn’t the most fun but wasn’t to bad at all. I am more then ready for our next baby 😂.
