I first posted about spotting for days while 5 weeks pregnant, then I posted that I miscarried, then I posted about my d&c, then I posted wondering if bleeding heavily was experienced with anyone else. I have one more update....and hopefully the last.

I had a heterotopic pregnancy. Which means one was in the uterus and one was not. I had 2 eggs fertilized naturally and they were growing for about 4.5 weeks before I miscarried the one that was actually in my uterus. Had my d&c about 6 days later, still bleeding and in pain, went in for blood work 2 days ago and my hcg levels went up. Went in for an ultrasound yesterday and saw the embryo in my left tube, growing and heart beating strong. Was immediately rushed into surgery to remove that little helpless bean and they couldn’t save my tube, it was hours from bursting with a baby measuring 6w6d in there.

I’ve never felt so much emotional pain. I know it could always be worse and there is a silver lining and all that but it doesn’t take away from my sadness.

I’m so happy for all you ladies that are lucky enough to be growing a healthy baby inside your uterus. I wish you all amazing journeys.
