The perfect health care

Mr

Let’s talk healthcare. These are my thoughts as I see fact but they may not be as I’m only speaking from my experience so please share yours about each option.

Which system do you think runs the best and why?

Option A: I am Canadian and we have a universal health care system. That means that every citizen of Canada is given government funded healthcare. No matter what you make. The more money you make the more tax you pay into the system. If you don’t work you still get the same care as a person who’s contributed millions. Some things still remain out of pocket but are still controlled by the government. There are no true “private healthcare” centres in my province. They exist for small things like a quick ultrasound or plastic or podiatry surgery for example. But there is no way to get private heart surgery for example. Even the private MRI clinics still report to the government.

Biggest complaint: long wait times, poor care

Biggest pro: everyone gets care

Option B: Lets use the US as an example. Private health care. You get what you pay for. Government funded assistance exists for those that qualify but Qualification is hard and you aren’t treated equally to someone who has great care.

Biggest complaint: affordability. People not getting proper care. Corrupt doctors price gouging.

Biggest pro: level of care when afforded is better than option A

Option C: a mix of both A and B. At a additional cost you can get extra private care or you can stick to the free healthcare

Biggest complaint: not being able to find doctors due to them going private and making more

Biggest pro: shorter wait times as it’s removing the rich from the universal system
