Any mamas been sick yet?

I got some sort of stomach bug last night.  Nursed my LO for her middle of the night feed and then promptly threw up. Made my husband be in charge all morning. Forcing myself to nurse at least a little bit because pumping sounds terrible right now. 
It’s the first time I’ve been sick since she was born.  It’s been torture. 
How do you guys deal?

Oh gosh, I feel for you!  When my LO was about a month old, in the midst of power pumping trying to get my supply up, I got hit with a stomach bug for two days.  Throwing up and running to the toilet for other reasons was miserable.  I took something which kind of helped, maybe Imodium, I’m hesitant to say for sure because I don’t want to throw out the name of an unsafe OTC med.  I would definitely ask your doctor about what you can take. I drank Hawaiian Punch too because apparently the high fructose corn syrup is the same thing as some medicine kids get for upset stomachs.  That’s what my mom said and I was desperate! Pretty much handed her off to anyone who would take her when I wasn’t nursing her to try to rest some.  Good luck and feel better!

I passed my very first kidney stone, does that count? Its horrible!!! Was down and out for 5 days but still pushed through to breastfeed my little one.

I had the flu when my baby was a week old and have had mastitis twice 😫

I have a three year old and a 5 month old, I hope I don’t get sick any time soon🤞🏼My husband has no more time left to ask from work, since I got my gallbladder removed in May he took 1 week off for that.

My baby girl got some sort of stomach virus and I got it from her. Luckily for me it only last 1 day. I luckily for her it lasted for like 4 days and we ended up with a visit to the er for dehydration.

I got a cold last week. My son gave it to me. It was the worst. Trying to nurse him and my nose was just leaking so bad. Its really hard to take care of a 4 months old while being sick. The only thing that was positive about it all is I was giving him antibodies through my milk. He was only congested for a week but super happy and energetic.

I’ve had a sore throat and bad cough for about 2 weeks, no cold symptoms though luckily, just felt drained. God I’m dreading actually being ill and looking after a baby and then if the baby gets ill, Christ 😓😓
