Am I the only one?

Question

Am I the only one that thinks labor and delivery will be crazy what if I am not prepared what if this happens what if that happens. Is it because I’m a first time mom I’m just over thinking sometimes. I am currently 22 weeks almost 23 weeks should I start preparing my hospital bag what should I start buying for the baby and what should I include in my hospital bag any help will be great thank you.☺️

It’s not like the movies where your water breaks and you’re rushing. It takes time. I would suggest taking a birthing class if you’re worried. They go over what to know and how to be prepared for birth and afterwards.

Don't think about it so much, I know it's hard, but your body will do its thing when it's ready. I'm pregnant with my 3rd baby now. I still get nervous at times but I know now at least and I've learned alot from my first 2. Every pregnancy is different. The biggest thing is to be open and go with the flow. You can plan and plan and plan but things may not go the way you think they will. Just remember our bodies were made for this! I would recommend making a birth plan, there are plenty of resources for doing so online. To at least go through all the common things and help you decide now instead of waiting until you're in labor when emotions are high. Like if you want an epidural, medication, you're preferred environment, who you want with you, etc, etc. It'll help you feel more prepared and also give the doctors and people with you an idea of what you want if you have the option. I've learned that obviously things can change once your there and the more open minded you go into it the better the experience will be. Of it helps, I don't even remember the pain I felt. Once your baby is out you literally don't even notice it and it felt totally knew to me when I had my 2nd baby. I tried to remember what it was going to feel like but I seriously couldn't until I was going through it again. It's such an incredible, amazing experience and you will do just fine. Keep a positive mind set and remember less stress is best for your baby.
Also make sure you stock up on diapers and wipes and prepare your hospital bag so you don't need to stress about doing things last minute.
I also highly recommend going to a birthing class and nursing class(if your planning to breastfeed) as it'll connect you with other women who feel the same way and also help you feel more prepared. I was really glad I went to a birthing class for my 1st baby, it really helped me feel better about labor and delivery.

You should go head and stack up on diapers and wipes you can pack your hospital bag at 36 weeks and contractions hurt but they are tolerable
