Our friends have a daughter Arabella who will be 2 when our baby is born and we really like the name Ella.

Do you boo. They're different names and different families. One of my friends and I actually have the same name for our daughters who are 8 days apart. We both liked the name. We both said. Meh oh well they can be name twins.

Do you see this friend a lot? 
Maybe talk to her and see if she thinks it’s too close considering you told her that you like the name Ella a long time ago. 
Or just name her that anyways.
