Preeclampsia and early induction?

Question

I was diagnosed with pre preeclampsia. I do not have the full condition but I’m headed that way. I will be being induced on August 17th at 37 weeks I was originally due September 7th. Im just wondering if anyone else is going through something similar. I’m scared and anxious. I just want everything to be okay. I’m a FTM expecting a baby boy. Any tips about general labor and delivery would help, what to expect with induction, things to pack, baby essentials, etc would really help.

Aw, sorry mama. I was induced with my first two and I was a wreck the first time. So nervous and emotional. If you’re able to eat  a good meal before going in, I recommend it. My first, I could only eat a couple bites of eggs cause I was so nervous and was so hungry the rest of the time. Also, if you’re up for it, I recommend an epidural. Some women can be induced without any pain meds, but in general, pitocin makes your contractions stronger and more painful. I held out as long as I could, but got an epidural eventually. I’m so glad I did because I was able to nap then and was well rested to push a couple hours later. Even though things didn’t go the way is planned, I had an awesome birth experience (with the help of my ridiculously supportive partner and sister). Whatever you plan and whatever happens, I wish you luck and hope you have as good of a first experience that I did. 💚

Following. I am going through the same. Due September 4th. My doctor hasnt scheduled induction yet though. I've had weekly appointments for a while now. Next week is probably when I'll find out what the plan is. 😬

I’m going through the same thing, I had high blood pressure at the time of my prenatal visit and they sent me to the hospital for blood work, a urine culture and to put me on the monitor. I was contracting a lot and pretty close together and was diagnosed with preeclampsia and given steroid shots to help her lungs develop Incase I went into premature labor. That was at 30 weeks and I’m now 34 weeks and they want to induce at 37 weeks, so anxious and don’t know what to expect

I had the same thing and was Delivered this past Monday via CSection... I had PreEclampsia and my placenta was in bad shape , not allowing baby to receive proper nutrients and she wasn’t growing.. Needless to say my I had my baby girl @ 32wk3dy.. She doing well and eating good.. Shes a tiny thing @ 2lbs 12oz.. Its difficult bc im in recovery and cant drive to see her but I say to myself that shes fine.. The NICU staff are wonderful! So i dnt have much to worry about..

Case. I was just diagnosed .. second time mom . 
My original due date was the sep 6. Being induced the 16th .. via c section because I already had a c section with my 1st
Just try to take it easy and relax these next two weeks . Only good thing about knowing your exact due date is that it gives
You time to get everything ready .. mentally and physically. Your going to be ok mom! 37 weeks baby will be fine!

i suggest you watch all those things you listed on youtube.
i’m being monitored for preeclampsia so everything is a day at a time thing.
i’m being induced at 39w - i’m 34w3d - because i’m diabetic and baby’s amniotic fluid is measuring high as well as their abdomen.
watching videos of people who went through it calms my mind and i like to have an idea of what’s to come.
just remember, this is probably the safer route because preeclampsia can be very scary, so any signs of anything, please alert your ob!

I was diagnosed with it at 38 weeks exactly with my first. Found out I'd be induced the same day. Was not prepared. I would just make sure you have a hospital bag ready and whatnot as my hubby had to go home and grab a bunch of stuff lol.
The induction went well as to be expected. Took a long time to respond to the dilation meds but eventually progressed when they popped my waters at 6cm. My advice is to get the epidural simply because being in pain raises blood pressure and anything you can do to keep it down is helpful during the birthing process.
My son was born natural and was a healthy 7lbs 9 oz. I had an episiotomy and a clitoral tear, but can't say if induction had anything to do with that or not.
Rest up as much as you can before the birth because I feel I would have labored faster had I been able to labor naturally. My body and baby weren't ready, so it seemed to take longer than it should have imo.
The meds you take after the birth suck, but I only had to be on them for 24 hours. Was released from the hospital two days after birth, so no delays there from a normal delivery.

I wasn’t induced with my first one however make sure to pack things for yourself as they will have most things for baby at the hospital. Bring comfy clothes and stuff for the bath that’s what I enjoyed the most. 
On another note: can you tell me some symptoms? I’ve had a major headache the past week and seeing spots, very out of breath which is normal (34 weeks) and some feet swelling
