No birth control is really “good” for you you but sometimes it’s necessary.

I have mixed feelings. I was on BC from age 13 (started because of very painful/heavy periods) until I was 23. I didn’t start having negative side effects until the last few years I was on it. It made me feel like a crazy person and I didn’t like it. I felt better the first month off of it and will most likely never take it again. 
But that being said, it was nice not really having to worry about pregnancy (also used condoms while on it). So it has pros and cons IMO.

Added estrogen really isnt great for you. It can contribute to cancers. But the risk is relatively small.
