When to call for a blood test!!

Hubby and I had our third <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> September 19th and period was due October 3rd... Doctor said to call October 5th (today) for a blood test. The previous IUIs my period was late, but came a day or two later than anticipated... However I had the usual symptoms of spotting, heavy cramping ect which I don't have now.
I'm too nervous to get excited or hopeful
