I'm a FTM and EBF, I pump when I need to, but not regularly, just when I know I have an obligation to go to that day so I can have a bottle for my son while I'm out.

We have a wedding to attend to where unfortunately, it is out of town and we will be spending the night. My MIL is going to be watching him, although it hurts to leave him for the first time, Mom and Dad could use a night alone.

I'm new to pumping and don't know if I'm cleaning my parts properly.

Right after I pump, I rinse them and boil them to sterilize it.

I just read alone that you are supposed to clean them with soap and only boil every so often.

Am I doing it wrong? I feel like boiling my parts after each use does clean them but now I'm confused and worried.

How do you clean your parts and is it wrong what I'm doing?
