Dry red patch on face

For the past two weeks I’ve had a dry, red, flaky patch on the corner of my mouth. I can’t get it to go away even after moisturizing. It hurts and cracks underneath makeup as well. I’ve never had any skin or acne issues ever, and I’ve been using the same face wash for 3 years (Neutrogena Ultra Gentle). I have a week long event next week and I wanna try to get rid of it ASAP! Any tips? (Not the best pic but hopefully you can see the flaky dry patch on top of the redness)
