Has anyone started their period at 10 years old? My sister turned 10 in May and, as she was talking to me today, she randomly started telling me how she’s been throwing away her underwear because she gets brown spots in them. I asked her if she meant like from poop and she said no, that it was in the front. I took her into the bathroom and asked her to show me and there’s a small bit of what looks like *could* be discharge. How do I explain to her what this is without freaking her out? Is there anything I could do that would be helpful for her?
