Controlling? Or no?

So I want to get multiple tattoos once I save up and have the money for it right? But my boyfriend only wants me to have a female tattoo artist which is way more difficult to find someone I like and who is available anytime before like October. I've talked to him about it and he says that if I'm going to get a male tattoo artist he's gonna get upset about it. I've tried explaining to him that some of my favorite tattoo artists are male and I don't think it's a big deal for like a forearm tattoo or shoulder blade tattoo. For the ones I want on like my thigh and my chest near my collar bone yeah I get the female artist thing and actually prefer it in that situation but he will get mad at me if I have a male tattoo artist at all. Even though he would be there with me while I get the tattoo.
