peices of nipple coming off?

Today after the shower I noticed my nipple had a small piece of skin slightly hanging. I picked at it and freaked out, it came off.. and I picked at the rest and it started coming off.
 What does this mean?
 I didn’t want to pick at the whole thing bcuz Idk if I’m suppose to or if it’s not normal..

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I always thought it was colostrum leakage that just dries and sometimes flakes off or appears to look like “skin”. Either way your not the only one. So weird what our bodies do while pregnant haha

It could be a skin tag on your nipple. I noticed I had one the other day. If that’s what it is, it’s totally normal. Just an overgrowth of skin. I’ve also found some on my inner thighs during this pregnancy too. Mine haven’t come off yet though.
