Do you think women are judged for TTC at 40+?

Of course women over 40 are judged. But what else is fucking new? Women are judged the moment our births are announced for not being born a male!  Then were judged if were pretty or not pretty, too sweet or too bitchy or not bitchy enough or too tomboy or way too girly or not smart enough or too smart which means we might be, heaven forbid gay or worse - we might love dick too much!

Its endless, pointless, stupid and worst of all, really fucking boring.

Fortune favors the bold.  Especially sexy and unstoppable once a woman hits 40.  Haters can suck it.  Im gettin' minez!  Now go and get yours!  :)

I'll be 41 years old Sunday September 14 and our first IUI is scheduled for Saturday September 13th. We are lesbians and my wife never had a child. I have a 20 year old. I want to have another baby so badly. Something is pulling on all of my emotions and biological clock. I feel like I can have this baby. If Halle Berry did it at 47 so can I :-) Don't let anyone steal your joy! XO

I am 40 with my oldest being 20 and youngest being 7 months old.  Yes, people assume he is hers or my 17 year old sons and have said some of the most rude things...."Oh an oops, huh?  Change of life baby? Aren't you scared it will have Down's?" The list goes on and on....I do not need to explain my life story, or going to detail about how this is a second marriage and how badly we wanted a child together! So I usually just say with a smile on my face, no he was very planned and very wanted! Deep down, I don't really care what others think! I am not asking them to raise the children I'm bringing into the world and they have no idea how much this baby has brought our family together!
 I just got BFP for baby #5 and I will be 41 when I deliver!  Hope this gives hope to all of you mamas out there trying to conceive at 40+! Lots of baby dust!

Yes. I have felt discouraged from conceiving for different reasons at different points in my life. As a teen, it's taboo; in my 20s, there was pressure to marry first; in my 30s, it was the only time I was encouraged except I was in an abusive marriage. Now, divorced, 44 on the cusp of 45, single, man I am being discouraged just as hard now as I was as a teen and a single person in my 20s. I am surrounded by socially and politically conservative people, and I'm first generation Indian American.

I'm 41 and I have 3 daughters and 2 sons and my oldest daugther made me a grandma by 37 right now I have 3 grandboys. I have a new man in my life ams we have been ttc for over 1 year now and he has no kids. I had a mc last November at 3 weeks and another mc this past April at 8 weeks. I get all kinds of negative comments from coworkers,  friends, family and even my boys. It's devastating and stressing but we are not going to stop we want a baby and we will keep trying. I have had 'why would you want to go through that again at your age' by a client of mine then there's been others be really great and saying 'go for it do what's right for you ' if I ever do get pregnant again I will be worried about telling family and friends because some will judge !! X

My fiancé was told by his grandmother that I won't be able to get pregnant & if I do the baby would be mentally disabled. So according to her I'm doomed either way lol. Such ignorance.

I am TTC at 40 and haven't heard anything discouraging. However,  the comments towards a 47 year old single acquaintance of mine who conceived were pretty negative.   Nobody could believe that she would even want a child at that stage in her life.
