Latching Success Stories?

I'm just wondering if anyone has switched to pumping and bottles, but still eventually managed to get baby to latch. 
I could never get my first born to latch, even with a shield and everything - nothing worked. Eventually we switched to formula. 
I just had my second daughter and I'm having the same issues. The only difference is, I did get her to latch a handful of times, but it wasnt a correct latch. Now she wont even try to latch. I want to switch to pumping/bottle for a while and still offer her the boob but I'm just wondering if giving her a bottle will completely ruin my chances of breast feeding?

You need to see a lactation consultant ASAP, they are very helpful with getting baby’s to latch and assessing any ties that may need correcting

I basically gave up after 4 weeks of complete disaster and total meltdowns for both of us every feed. I stuck with pumping though. He was rooting around one day when he was about 10 weeks so I gave it a try and he latched and are! We started working on it again and now at 15 weeks is breastfed except a bottle a day that daddy gives. Good luck!

I have a 6 day old newborn. 
This is my second child.
With my first i only breastfeed till 4months until my milk dried up so i had to start giving him Formula. 
However with my daughter the first 2 days was very painful to breastfeed my nipples were very sore so the nurse suggested i start pumping but still not much luck low milk amount so i gave her similac. I would try and breastfeed all the time for at least 10mins just to get the milk to flow better.  Now im home and i breastfeed her normal. Pump also when ever i feel my breast are too heavy and also sometimes i give her similac.   I have had any problems.  She latches on to my breast and the bottle with no problem at all.

Not me but my SIL pumped for the first 3 months then switched to BF and it worked. For my first I exclusively pumped, tried to switch back and she wanted nothing to do with it, so I just pumped for a year.

I was exclusively pumping as baby wouldn't latch but she managed to latch around 3 months and it was just like that 🤷🏼‍♀️. 7 months into breastfeeding now. I think my nipples are pulled out with pumping and that's what helped🤷🏼‍♀️.
