Delaying my period on BC??

Question

My boyfriend is a Marine and he gets to come home for a weekend next month. The weekend he’s back I am scheduled to be on my period and we don’t like having sex when I am on it as much. If i skip the placebo week of my birth control and start a new pack immediately will it delay or stop my period for next month?

It will stop it. I did it for the first time this month, happily there's been no side effects but some said there's a chance of bleeding anyway or mood swings.

Sometimes there’s a chance of light spotting but I skipped my period twice during the year I was on birth control and I just had a regular period the next month

Skip the placebos and just take them after he’s gone that way you aren’t messing up your prescription, either.
