So i was recently diagnosed with chlamydia, I would’ve contracted it well over a year ago from an ex, (been with current bf for a years and the only other person he ever slept with was his ex and they were each other’s only

body) but i never showed any symptoms until last month when I started having random spotting between my period and random cramping. I went to the ER and they told me that “all women experience abnormal periods at some point” but that just didn’t seem right. I ended up starting my next period a week early, it was a little heavier and 8 days long rather than my normal 5, I had days where cramping was so unbearable i couldn’t even move. I ended up deciding to go get myself checked just because I was reading up and freaking myself out. I was positive for chlamydia. I just took my antibiotics thursday (today’s saturday) it was the 1 2 pill dose of azithromycin. anyways, i’m still having some slight pelvic pain and i was wondering if that was potentially PID? like anyone else who went through this what was your experience? were you diagnosed with both at the same time? does the chlamydia turn into PID? do both have their own separate treatments? this is such a scattered question but i read up on all the risks and i’m just freaked out. I have a gyno appointment set for next friday, but I just wasn’t sure what to expect when looking for all of that. I just feel like this is such a little known topic
