Menstrual cups????

I’ve recently been seeing lots of adds for menstrual cups. Just wondering how many of you have tried them and what’s the pros and cons of them? Also is any one brand better than the other? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Once I got the hang of it, I was pissed I hadn’t heard of them before turning 37. I love them and will not go back to pads or tampons.

I have had a diva cup and this other kind... Can't remember my current brand I'm sorry! But I LOVE the cups, I love not having to buy supplies every month and never running out of pass or tampons, and not having to throw away bloody trash for pets or kids to find 😱 and I love not having to empty it more than 2-3x a day. I also think tampons made my cramps worse. I'M NEVER GOING BACK! My only problem is sometimes I forget where I put it from last month, lol

I love mine, so much easier than tampons for me, once it's in everything is sorta sealed off so no leaks. I use the meluna brand as they have different strengths, sizes, pull out options like rings or balls, and even pretty colours. It is a learning curve so I would try it when you can stay home for a few hours or even days while you practice, but if you can't just wear a pad to start with. There are different folds you can do for insertion so Google and try a couple, I like the punch down but lots of people use the C or S folds. The other thing to be aware of is that most brands will tell you the cup should sit with the base just inside the vaginal opening, but I and many others find it needs to be much higher, up around the cervix. That's personal preference though.

I only got to use mine for two cycles before I got pregnant but I loved it! The first time I used it I put it in while showering as I heard it can take a few tries to get the hang of it. It did take me a few times to get a good seal. If you can feel it or leak it means it's not in right and just try again. I found there to be very minimal mess and honestly it didnt bother me. It's my body and I dont get disgusted  by normal things I just always washed up really good after words if any did get out. I loved the freedom of not having to mess with pads or the bulky feeling and feeling more confident in the health side then I do with tampons.
