Car swerve
Two days ago, we were on the freeway and a car came out of nowhere into our lane. My husband was driving and there was no collision but the seatbelt didn’t snap back for me; I jolted forward and back pretty hard. It was in LA so we weren’t going very fast but I’m really nervous about it.
I called my OB and she said it sounded fine because I haven’t had severe pain or bleeding, but if I work myself into a “tizzy” I could go to the ER and get things checked out. She also said at 16 weeks the baby is still protected by the pelvic bones so I shouldn’t worry too much. Also since I didn’t get whiplash the jolt too my body probably wasn’t that bad, she said.
I haven’t had cramps or anything but it feels mildly uncomfortable in there off and on. I usually I don’t feel much other than occasional round ligament pain but this feels more uncomfortable than that. Anyway, I’m not quite to tizzy mode yet but my next ultrasound isn’t until August 15. I guess I’m worried about something like placental abruption happening, but it seems like I would feel actively bad if that were the case. What would you do?
