At what point do you stop pumping?

I’ve been trying hard not to give up. But for the last few weeks I pump 3-4 times a day and breastfeed once. I also take fenugreek.I get a totally of 1 maybe 2 oz total for the entire day. Not per session. Is it time to give up? I mean I hate it and I feel like I’m not even producing enough to make a difference

Your baby needs more than 4-5 feedings a day at this age so you should still be pumping every 2-3 hours or nursing every 2-3 hours. It’s a supply and demand. The more you empty your breasts, the more milk you’ll make.
Fenugreek can have an opposite effect, so maybe try oatmeal instead.

Pump more frequently. Also...have you thought about power pumping to get your supply back up and going? I’m currently doing it and seeing good results.

With my firstborn I pumped when I went back to work but I was getting only 1 or 2 oz the whole day too no matter how many times I pumped. And he was eating a TON. I couldn’t keep up so I switched to formula. At first I felt guilty that my body wasnt cooperating but he turned out to be the biggest, happiest, smartest two year old ive ever seen so I guess it all worked out ❤️

It’s not giving up! Do what you feel ready to! If you want to stop pumping and start doing formula that is perfectly fine too!
